Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA) has ranked first among Dubai Government departments and authorities in the Improved Government Departments Performance category, and also topped Category (A) for Government Departments delivering more than 100 electronic services.

The results are part of the Electronic Services Report of the Dubai Government Departments 2011/2012 released by the Dubai eGovernment. RTA topped among Dubai government departments by achieving a 14 per cent rating in terms of Improved Performance. With a score of 86 per cent, RTA likewise came first among entities delivering more than 100 electronic services.

“These results clearly stamp the improvement in the overall performance of the RTA testified by the remarkable 14 per cent rise when compared to the last assessment carried out in 2008/2009, and also won the distinction in the delivery of electronic services,” Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, said.

In July, RTA launched its revamped website with a particular focus on enhancing its e-services for its users. RTA services are now classified into four groups depending on the type of user and extent of need for the service. More info
