Dubai — New four and five digit number plates will go under the hammer at the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) 32nd number plates auction starting on April 21.
The three-day auction will also include number plates for classic cars and motorbikes (code 2), with registration for the auction starting on April 14.
Mohammed Abdul Kareem Nimaat, Director of Vehicles Licensing at RTA Licensing Agency, said: “The forthcoming online auction is anticipated to be hugely popular as it contains 100 distinguished plates selected to cater to customer needs, and offers customers full freedom in selecting their fancied plates in a hassle-free environment. The success of online auctions in the past contributed to enhancing the online services of the Vehicles Licensing Department in the context of its annual plan aimed at improving the calibre of public transactions and achieving customers’ satisfaction,” he said.
To participate in the auction, the bidder has to register through a variety of communication channels, either through logging to RTA website (www.rta.ae), or visiting any customer service centre in Dubai to seek assistance from the RTA staff in completing the registration process. More info
