As a resident of Al Jafiliya area, I take the Dubai Metro to my workplace in Jebel Ali. Recently, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) cancelled some of its routes to Jebel Ali after the opening of the Ibn Battuta Metro Station.

As a result, all commuters using the buses switched to the Metro, which was the only option they had.

However, there have not been adequate arrangements or plans to facilitate the commute of Metro passengers who want to travel further on from the Ibn Battuta Metro Station.

There is only one bus going to Jebel Ali from this location.

Because of the long queues and rush, most of the people I know arrive late to work almost every day.Such long delays especially occur due to the queues for the F50 bus (as shown in the photograph) that I take.

I urge the RTA to provide commuters with more alternatives or extended bus routes.
