Free parking in Dubai for the festive weekend
Parking in Dubai will be free on Sunday and Monday - except at the fish market and in multi-storey car parks - in celebration of National Day. "The Dubai Metro will start running at 5.50am and continue until midnight in the holiday period," said Dr Aysha Al Busmait, director of the Roads and Transport Authority's marketing and corporate communication.
Al Diyafah Street now ‘2nd of December’
In a move to mark the 40th National Day of the UAE, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered changing the name of Al Diyafah Street in Dubai into ‘2nd of December’ Street.
