The Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently embarked on displaying enhanced designs of public bus schedules, network map and route map (single route) in Dubai Emirate. Under the new method, bus commuters will find it easier to read the timetables, review the network and check the route maps in a smooth and a handy manner.

Over 2500 public sector employees ditch cars
More than 2500 employees and officials of Dubai Municipality, Dubai Land Department, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and etisalat office in Dubai ditched their cars today. Director General of DM Hussain Nasser Lootah led the initiative by travelling on the Metro from Rashidiya Station to Union Station adjacent to the Municipality headquarters.

Public transport ridership clocked 332m passengers in 2010
His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has revealed that RTA mass transit means, comprising the Dubai Metro, public buses, marine transit modes and taxis, have lifted more than 332 million passengers in 2010, compared to 288.777 million passengers in 2009. The average number of daily riders in 2010 was about 957 thousand persons compared to 800 thousand persons in 2009.
