The movie is based on a corrupt cop in UP-Bihar, who takes benefits from the loopholes in the police system and fills up his pockets. The songs of the movie have been shot inside the recently opened, Dubai Metro. Actor-producer, Arbaaz Khan told that they are the first from the film fraternity, who got the chance to showcase the Dubai Metro in their movie.

Dabangg is an upcoming Hindi action film, directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan, set to be released on 10 September 2010. Some portions of the film were also shot in the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Metro.
