RTA Completes Implementation Of Paid Parking System In Dubai Internet City...
The Traffic and Roads Agency, Roads and Transport Authority, has finalized the implementation of the paid parking system in Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Village. The system has been activated since April 13th, after it was successfully implemented on roadside parking slots in mid-January.
Passengers stuck as Dubai Metro breaks down
Thousands of passengers were stranded for nearly an hour at several stations during the evening peak hours as Dubai Metro services on the Red Line were interrupted due to what the officials called a “technical glitch.” Apparently, train services were disrupted between Nakheel station near Dubai Internet City and Jafliya metro station for nearly an hour as passengers complained of power failures as well at many stations.

Four express trains to ply on Red Line from today
The express trains will start operating at 5.30am, 20 minutes earlier than the actual operation time of the metro’s regular service, from Jebel Ali and Al Rashidiya stations. Each train will stop only at 13 main stations in both directions instead of 27, and they are Al Rashidiya, Emirates, Al Rigga, Union, Khalid Bin Al Waleed, Al Karama, Al Jafiliya, Emirates Towers, Noor Islamic Bank, First Gulf Bank, Dubai Internet City, Ibn Battuta and Jebel Ali stations, he added.
RTA set to slash metro trip time next October
From the start of next October, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is poised to reduce the trip time of the Dubai Metro Red Line by offering two services on a trial basis for a period of 5 months in a bid to better serve the interest of the Metro users such that they can arrive at their work places in a speedy and hassle-free way.
