RTA links more services with federal traffic system
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the second stage of linking driving and vehicle licensing services with the federal traffic system.

Around 89 video monitors have been installed by the authorities at Dubai Metro stations to allow the passengers to get real time information on buses plying across different routes. The Public Transport Agency at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently completed the installation of the video monitors on the Red and Green Line stations of the Dubai Metro.
'63% of crash victims in Dubai are kids'
Children in Dubai are three times more involved in traffic accidents than at the global level, a local report revealed. The report released by the Dubai Health Authority indicates that 63 per cent of crash victims in Dubai are children, which is three times the prevailing international rate of 22.3 per cent.
More bridges planned to help pedestrians cross roads safely
The project is part of a series of initiatives aimed at making Dubai a more pedestrian-friendly city, said Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency at the RTA. According to the RTA's five-year plan, 24 pedestrian bridges, 36 raised crossings and 86 pelican/puffin crossings will be constructed in various locations in the city.
