Dubai airport March passenger traffic hits 5.8m
A record 5.8 million passengers passed through Dubai International airport in March, the highest since August 2012, driven mainly by the Western European routes launched by Emirates and Flydubai.

100 new radars to trap speedsters on Dubai roads: RTA
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai in collaboration with Dubai Police will install 100 new speed radars to monitor speeding across the emirate’s main roads, a top RTA official has revealed to Emirates 24|7. Maithaa Bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads at the RTA, in an exclusive statement to this website also revealed that 450 speed radars and 230 cameras have been installed to monitor traffic signals.
Four express trains to ply on Red Line from today
The express trains will start operating at 5.30am, 20 minutes earlier than the actual operation time of the metro’s regular service, from Jebel Ali and Al Rashidiya stations. Each train will stop only at 13 main stations in both directions instead of 27, and they are Al Rashidiya, Emirates, Al Rigga, Union, Khalid Bin Al Waleed, Al Karama, Al Jafiliya, Emirates Towers, Noor Islamic Bank, First Gulf Bank, Dubai Internet City, Ibn Battuta and Jebel Ali stations, he added.
RTA set to slash metro trip time next October
From the start of next October, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is poised to reduce the trip time of the Dubai Metro Red Line by offering two services on a trial basis for a period of 5 months in a bid to better serve the interest of the Metro users such that they can arrive at their work places in a speedy and hassle-free way.

The 14-branch network in Dubai Metro is spread in both red and green lines with seven branches in each line. In Red Line, branches are located in Khalid Bin Waleed, Jebel Ali, Emirates Tower, Emirates, Rashidiya, TECOM and Union stations. In Green Line, branches are located in Airport Free Zone, Oud Mehta, Etisalat, Salah Al Din, Stadium, Al Gubaiba and Al Fahidi stations.
