The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has officially kicked off two days ago a new water bus line shuttling between the Mall and The Walk of Dubai Marina in the presence of Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, CEO of Public Transport Agency; Ahmed Al Matroshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties; and Isam Galadari, CEO of Emaar Properties. The event was also attended by a host of directors of the Agency, officials from both parties and a horde of media representatives in the UAE.

RTA’s Public Transport Agency has recently launched the real-time query service about bus & metro arrival time via SMS (M-Bus) at Burj Khalifa Station. The service is also intended to increase & strengthen the channels of communication between the RTA and customers to ensure smooth and direct access to information without the need to contact the Call Center

Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, CEO of Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), stated that the RTA has been working through its marine transport arm to broaden and enhance the marine transit lines and integrate them with other mass transit means in the Emirate in order to create an advanced and sound public transport network and broaden the reach of marine transit network. “Such efforts could well be realized through cooperation with other entities serving marine transport in the Emirate of Dubai such as Mina Rashid in a bid to offer superb marine transit services capable of bolstering the tourist marine line.

The field visits program cover the University of Wollongong for two days (October 16 to 17), Dubai Men's College of Technology for two days (October 18 to 19), the Canadian University for one day (20 October), the Dubai Women's College of Technology for two days (October 23 to 24), the American University for two days (October 25 to 26), and Zayed University for one day.
