Construction works in 19 stations on Dubai Metro Red Line completed
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that all construction works on the 19 stations on the Red Line of Dubai Metro have been completed, and that electromechanical works in the said stations range from 80 to 97%, adding that RTA is all set to phase out the opening of the stations in February 2010.
Metro travel will be free for the disabled from February
Details are still being ironed out, but Roads and Transport Authority officials said yesterday that the system would be similar to the one that allows people with special needs to use the Salik toll system for free.
