H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that RTA mass transit modes (comprising Dubai Metro, public buses, marine transport modes and taxis) had lifted more than 288.777 million persons in 2009 and the daily ridership of public transport modes exceeded 842 thousand peoples

H.E. Mattar al-Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), recently received H.E. Datuk Yahaya Abdul Jabar, the Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE, in the presence of H.E. Mohammed Hasrin Aidid. The visit comes in the context of RTA efforts to build and boost the ongoing cooperative relations at the local, regional and international levels.

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), announced that the Contractor of Dubai Metro Project; Dubai Rail Link (DURL) Consortium; is set to complete all the remaining works in the stations on the Red Line (18 stations) on 25 April 2010, and that all works in the stations on the Green Line will be completed in August 2011.

Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the portal of internal communication system (Intranet) at (http://intranet.rta.ae); which is a new tool for internal communication and cooperation between RTA employees. The gateway enables sharing and exchanging of documents. pertinent to the activities of all RTA employees.
