During a visit to the headquarters of Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the Creek Panorama Project; the first pedestrian bridge to link Dubai area with Bur Dubai across the creek.

The architect of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE completes six successful years as the Ruler of Dubai on January 4, 2012. Sheikh Mohammed’s vision has transformed Dubai into an enviable city, which nations around the world compete to replicate.

"It was not possible to delay this project because if that happened we would have faced a crisis and confusion in executing the scheduled plan up to 2015... Therefore, I decided to go ahead and achieve the project so as to have time for future projects," Sheikh Mohammed added.
