Operations on Dubai Metro's Green Line will begin in the second half of 2010

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that the completion rate in constructing several stations on the Green Line of Dubai Metro ranges from 50% to 80%

All 29 stops on Dubai Metro’s Red Line will be open for business by the end of February, senior transport officials said yesterday.

Following its launch on the 9th of September 2009, nearly 3 million passengers have used the Dubai metro in the first two months of its operation

Al Tayer: Completion of electromechanical works hits 80-97%

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that all construction works on the 19 stations on the Red Line of Dubai Metro have been completed, and that electromechanical works in the said stations range from 80 to 97%, adding that RTA is all set to phase out the opening of the stations in February 2010.

The Dubai Metro’s second line is likely to open on Oct. 10 next year, or 10/10/10, as the city’s transport authority continues with its theme of catchy launch dates, sources have told Maktoob Business.
