More than three million Nol cards which are used for public transport including the Dubai Metro, buses and water transport have been sold since the launch of the Metro on September 9, 2009. The RTA offers four categories of Nol cards: the Red card, Silver Card, Gold Card and the personalised Blue Card.

Emirates open more branches
Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the Middle East, plans to open 10 more branches by the end of 2011 and soon will launch a new RTA card with Nol products loaded, Head of Group Marketing Vikram Krishna said. Emirates NBD will soon announce a new RTA card, which will come with loaded Nol application.
Applicants for fare discount must present national ID
Students, senior citizens and people with special needs who are applying for discounted Nol Blue cards will be asked to present their National Identity Cards, a Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official said.
