ASK has announced the delivery of the first batch of 1.5 million contactless Nol cards for Dubai’s public transit system. ASK’s Nol is a multimodal contactless card used in Dubai’s metro, buses, water buses and parking meters.

Dubai to continue kids-go-free drive this summer
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has announced that it will continue with its popular 'kids go free' campaign from May 14 to September 30. The campaign this year will include 50 per cent discount on airfare for up to two kids under 12 years when flying Emirates and 25 per cent discount on airfare for up to two kids under 12 years when travelling on flyDubai.
Keep off bus lanes or face fines, motorists told
Motorists in Dubai have been warned again not to drive in dedicated bus and taxi lanes to avoid fines. We will use surveillance cameras on the roads with dedicated bus and taxi lanes to monitor private vehicles and will forward the information about offending vehicles to police to issue fines accordingly
UAE Traffic Week kicks off

1 million ASK contactless cards already delivered in Dubai

A bumpy ride for public transport
'We need maps," is how one Sharjah resident summed up her emirate's transport problems in an online post. "Frequency of buses must be increased," were the thoughts of another. And this: "The only thing stopping people from using public transport is the lack of it."
Jebel Ali Metro Station opens
RTA will operate 24 trains in the morning peak hours and 29 trains in the evening. Jebel Ali Metro Station opened on Friday following the inspection visit of Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA. The opening of Jebel Ali Metro Station brings the number of stations opened to 27.
Dubai’s transport network on Google map
Commuters can now have complete information of Dubai’s entire transport network through Google map as well as Wojhati, the RTA announced. The initiative, a joint effort of RTA and Google Inc, is an upgrade of an existing system that allows a person to plan a bus journey across Dubai.
