RTA links more services with federal traffic system
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the second stage of linking driving and vehicle licensing services with the federal traffic system.

Dubai Metro: Technology at its best
With a capacity to accommodate 48 trains at any given time, Al Qusais Depot is not only the largest of the three depots that serve the Dubai Metro, but is also one of the most advanced in the world. Fully air-conditioned, the depot is divided into three main buildings — a stabiling shed, a Light Repair Workshop and a Heavy Repair Workshop. Apart from this, there is also a test track of more than one kilometre and a fully automatic washing shed.
RTA to reward students for innovative traffic safety idea
In a bid to promote road safety, a cash reward has been availed for Intermediate and High schools levels nationwide for the best idea in a contest entitled, “Road Safety”, an initiative by the Roads and Transport Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE).

Children in Dubai are three times more involved in traffic accidents than at the global level, a local report revealed. The report released by the Dubai Health Authority indicates that 63 per cent of crash victims in Dubai are children, which is three times the prevailing international rate of 22.3 per cent.

RTA honors Du for connecting Dubai Metro with WiFi
Du, the integrated telecom service provider, was recently honoured by the Road and Transportation Authority (RTA) for providing Dubai Metro with the world's first-of-its-kind WiFi network. The award was presented during a ceremony awarding the 'Strategic Partners Participating in the Execution of the Dubai Metro Project.'
