Following its launch on the 9th of September 2009, nearly 3 million passengers have used the Dubai metro in the first two months of its operation

Dubai Metro has broken the 3 million passengers’ barrier according to statistics compiled by Rail Agency at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) which revealed that metro ridership has hit 3,492,175 passengers lifted in two months from the start of operation on 10 stations on the Red Line on 09/09/09 up to 09/11/09.

Following the successful launch of the Dubai Metro on the 9th of September 2009, the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is pleased to report the growing patronage of the Dubai Metro as nearly 3 million passengers have used the metro on the first two months of its operation.

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA, has received H.E. Billy Kelleher, Ireland's Minister for International Trade and the accompanying delegation that include H.E. Ciaran Madden, the Irish Ambassador to the UAE, and several representatives of Irish companies.
