Dubai Metro users up 58% last year, with 109 million passengers
More than 367 million people used public transportat in Dubai last year, according to figures released yesterday by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). There were more than 109 million metro users, up from 69 million the previous year.

Dubai’s tram project is on track
Alstom, the French rail firm, says it will lay the first tracks in December for the Al Sufouh tram project in Dubai, a Dh4 billion (US1.08bn) mass transit system running from Dubai Marina to the Mall of the Emirates.
