Weather across the UAE will be partly cloudy today with a chance of rain mainly over western coasts, islands and some eastern areas.

In a statement, NCM said rough sea with a wave height of 4-7 feet is expected until 8pm today evening. Residents are advised to be cautious while swimming in the various beaches in the region.

On Wednesday, moderate to heavy rains were reported in some parts of Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

The country witnessed a clear sky today morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 11.9 °C in Jais Mountain while Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 32.4°C in Um Azimul, the weather office said.

Forecasters are warning that rain could hit the country over the next few days.

Sharing today’s weather update, the NCM said the formation of convective clouds could bring about rain in parts of the country, as well as fresh winds and rough seas.

The highest temperature today will hover between 30 to 34°C over the coastal areas and 31 to 35°C over the internal areas. The relative humidity will increase by night and during the early morning hours.

Winds will be southeasterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, with speeds of 20 – 30kmhr, reaching 45kmhr in the coastal areas. The sea will be slight to rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Gulf of Oman.

The NCM has also issued a five-day weather forecast from Thursday until Monday. The weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy at times during the day, with the probability of convective clouds formation over the eastern areas. More
