Mall visitors can flurry to the malls for their chance to jump on board in the bid to win top prizes. Players can delve into each mall’s personalized version of their favourite board game, with jumbo dice, life-sized Monopoly cards and chances to land on Ski Dubai, VOX Cinemas or iFly Dubai to win instant prizes, in addition to earning points on traditional MONOPOLY houses.
Shoppers only need to spend AED 300 to play, and each game of three throws per player will last 8-10 minutes with some 35 -45 games expected to be played every day, at each mall. The player with the most points will win AED500 at each mall, with a total of AED 783,000 to be given away!
Similar to the original American real estate property trading game first marketed in 1935, the aim of the life-size mall version is to be the last player standing by bankrupting all of your opponents. The amusement begins with Game Master Mr. Monopoly announcing the start, and then your hat, boot, or car token whizzes around the designated attractions of the region, avoiding the real-life 3D jail, and earning points.
The life-sized MONOPOLY will be set up at Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif’s Central Galleria and City Centre Deira’s West Court on the first level.
